Hmm. Reading about Hobbes' view of human nature, in books that are difficult to read, is not really motivating me right now! 
Suppose I should be getting on with it, and get it out of the way!

Why has today been a bad day so far;
1. Woken up this morning by my radio alarm. DJ was playing Kelly Clarkson, screaming into a microphone! 
2. Got on the bus, sat down on the top deck; and realised my oyster card bus pass had expired! Doh! 
3. Only one of the cashpoints at Tesco appeared to be working. Very long queue, as well.
Why has today been a good day so far;
1. Driver of the above-mentioned bus seemed indifferent to expired bus pass! 
2. Finding somewhere to buy new bus pass very easy! 
3. Went to the gym, and feeling very happy!
4. Sun is currently shining!
See, wasn't such a bad day afterall!
