Just read this on the BBC website. There are 4.2 million CCTV cameras in this country. [Looks round the computer room for a camera] Yes, there is one in here!

here ... dont get me started ive only just got of that soap boax and im trying very hard to stay away for a while .... but while your writng bollocks on the floor think on this every time you use your credit or debit card or if in london oyster card (travel pass) and collect your reward points on your loyalty card your being logged in one way or another day date time and location ( and even cctved from some cash points) your mobile can be tracked by GPS when you make a call and constantly if you have bluetooth and gprs on ....

i read a stat' awhile ago that said there is 1 CCTV camera for evey 14 people in london. just walking to my local shop (20 second walk, you can see it from my kitchen window) i'm picked up by 4 of them. Big brother is watching (i don't know why my life isn't that good) mind you i'd rather that than have my car broken into 3 times a week (which is what happened pre CCTV).

I don't think there's any CCTV on my street, and my car hasn't been broken into yet!
But then, I have two police officers living opposite; and I drive a Peugeot!

Good and bad, its not the technology, that is advanced and makes our lives so much simpler and i have no problem at all with things that make my life easy, the problem is the Information it gathers and who uses that information for what purpose?

No??? put that together with an identity card carrying your biometric data held on a national identity data base and they know your 3ft 6 green hair and 106 years old and live at.....
