First, a few notes on the match. Two 1-1 draws against Boro this season. Disappointing, considering that we usually stick at least five goals past them!
Now, I won't be able to see if Dr Hough goes into hibernation whenever his team lose; like Jenni's Sp*rs Fan friend! ![]()
Anyway, this afternoon; a saturday afternoon that wasn't spent moping about last semester's results!
I went to Jenni and John's to watch the Doctor Who marathon! Series one, and Christopher Eccleston. I'd forgotten how good he was, because David Tennant is brilliant!
A couple of interesting points;
1. John Barrowman - mmmm. Beautiful!
At one point I said; "I wouldn't mind John Barrowman coming on to me; standing in mid air, on a space ship, in a German air raid!" ![]()
2. The Doctor said, "It's either Marxism in action, or a West End Musical!".
Would go on the quotes list, if it wasn't a film/TV quote!
3. Noticed in "The Long Game" just how much Doctor Who is political satire. The episode is about this human "civilisation" thousands of years in the future, where all people's details are registered; Every tiny detail. And, the news agency manipulates, by creating a climate of fear. As one character said, the right words repeated over and over. Like "terrorism".
Offered Dave Mansell a lift home. Interesting conversation in the car;
Me: A double bed is useful for some stuff.
Dave: Ros! What would Dreadlock Chris say?!
Me: Chris?! He'd probably join in!
