To get myself out of the house, and out of New Barnet, but also because I needed to buy Big Sister a birthday present.
1. It's cold and miserable outside. (And my car's being serviced)
2. Pop Scissor Sisters into my portable CD player (the one Dad didn't want), and pull my hoodie over my head. Walk down the run wondering if people are going to run screaming from my Chavvy attire. They don't! 
3. Randomly meet some girl from Uni whose name I don't know.
4. Find a nice little shop, containing lots of second hand stuff. 
Whilst searching for a present, notice mugs with Royal Mugs on. Try to avoid looking at them.
5. Find a present for Big Sister.
6. Leave shop. Rain is p*ssing down. Up goes hoodie and on go fingerless gloves (I know it's May; please tell Mother Nature that!).
7. Walk home to the sound of the Scissor Sisters. Much more lively than reality.
