Oww, oww, ouch! Filling out job application forms is painful work, and I still have a mountain of them to fill out!
Slightly disorientated by the new layout, thought I'd accidently clicked on Facebook instead of blog!
Received a rejection letter this morning, and lets just say that it inspired me! ![]()
Rejected
An anonymous envelope.
Stamped and addressed.
Inside, it crushes hope,
And causes distress.
"Thank you,
For applying
To do what you want to;
Now, you will be crying.
The standard was high,
Higher than heaven.
So with a sigh,
Sorry, you don't get to heaven."
Signed sincerely,
On a standard format.
Not really,
My application is a doormat!
Into the wastebin,
Back to jobcentre.
What a waste of writing;
Will I still be here in September?
The letter taunts,
"You can't do this!"
Unable to flaunt,
It ends in distress.
Back to jobpages,
In Monday's Guardian.
Find another source for wages,
And more rejection.
---------
And it was a job that I know I could have done, too!
