Woman's Hour were talking to the new Head of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology authority, about animal-human hybrids - among other things.
This got me thinking. If you had the technology to combine a human with another animal, which species would it be, and why?
Here's my suggestion; human + gazelle = a two legged creature that can run very fast.

on a more serious note, a human and a lizard
no worries about moisturising excessively dry skin, and you get to sit and sunbathe all day every day.

Human and parrot/macaw - born with bright and beautiful clothes on which replace themselves and don't fade in the wash - AND you can fly and live for 100 yrs and talk a lot!
