Well, does state the obvious a little, but he has an argument to back it up!
I pretty much realised that some American's are fascistic, when they banned the Dixie Chicks from country radio for saying that they were ashamed Bush is from Texas. Yeah, so much for land of the free!

I think it helps if your world view is left of centre. Some of the characteristics apply to all governments (of whatever political hue).
As for banning songs - isn't that the perogative of a radio station's owner?
Hasn't the BBC also banned songs from the radio from time to time?

I don't think the BBC have ever banned an artists entire catalogue of music for their political views!

I didn't want to suggest that the BBC had banned an entire catalogue, but they have banned songs from time to time (God Save the Queen, by the Sex Pistols and Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, for example).
If the government urged the ban on the Dixie Chicks, then that wouldn't be right - but as I understand the bands songs are not played on a privately owned radio station in Texas. So, it was really just an owner exercising his prerogative as an owner to tell his employees what to do.

hmmm, except that's based on his definition of fascism which is a seriously over-used and misunderstood word that only really applies to a very specific type of government. it's an easy label to use, but it was Mussolini that invented Fascism, not the Nazis as he suggests. Hmmm, I feel a blog entry coming on.

Yes. It is easy to label someone a fascist, and quite funny when the labeller goes and does something fascistic!

i think he is worse than a fascist. if that is possible at all. atleast fascists admit what they are, i dont think the americans(who support bushimsn) are even aware of their fascist nature
