Big week for New Barnet - both Tesco and Asda are in the neighbourhood to show off their plans. With Tesco it's currently rough, but pretty pictures! Some of the complainants did my head in;
1. "It's going to look like Enfield!" Yes, Enfield's looking a lot better since it's makeover. It actually looks welcoming, and clean. 
2. Complaints about traffic are common. Including this comedy nugget, "have you been down V... Road, lately?!" We're on that road, dear! 
3. An old dear complaining that the plans were too extensive. Hmm. I think this might have called for gentle handling of Those Who Do Not Like Change! 
Would it surprise you if I said this is a pretty safe Tory area?!
