I was standing in the queue at the post office, in my lunchbreak, and there were only four windows (out of twelve) opened.
Does anyone else think that it might have been a good idea, considering it was lunchtime, and there was a very long queue, to open another couple of windows? Especially as the staff who were there occasionally fiddled with something between serving customers. 
Or is it unreasonable of me to accept logic from the post office?!

I know. I'm a totally selfish, unreasonable customer! 
I only ever have a problem with pensioners taking forever, when in my local (to home) post office which only has two positions!
that'd be a right pain, my 'local' post office is in a sweet shop down the end of my road, it doesn't even have a counter just a till space.
I usually use the town centre one, which thankfully has 12 counters, although the queue is still often out the door it tends to be pretty fast moving. Having my MP3 player at the ready helps.

And why is it that all the pensioners think 12-2 is a great time to go PO and have a chat? Don't they know this time should be reserved for people on lunch breaks?
