Joni Mitchell is simply miraculous. A very serious subject, and she infuses it with the seriousness it deserves whilst still making a beautiful sound.

This is part of the reason why I still sympathise with Mad Woman's plight. We used to go to the same church. I left frickin ages ago. When she got pregnant they wouldn't let her speak at all in church for the duration of her pregnancy. She was 'silenced'.
It happened before I arrived there and I was furious when I found out.
They 'found' some scriptural justification for it but I sincerely doubt it's authenticity.-

I think in a lot of places, there isn't much understanding of the historical context of the Bible.
