Went to London, couldn't keep myself out of Foyles. (It's not an addiction that I need help for, thanks!)

Walked round to St James' Park, and saw the banners with that embarrassment of a logo lining The Mall! I don't know how much it cost, but I'm sure I could have done better for ten pounds. Without smashing things!

Guide for any tourists in London: The London Underground is designed to be as unfriendly as possible.
1) Noisy carriages - you have to turn your Ipods up high to hear the music.
2) Always sitting opposite someone who constantly stares at you, even if they aren't actually wanting to.

The Ipod was designed for Londoners - so they had an excuse not to make conversation on the transport system!

Also, novels, magazines, the usual tabloids and broadsheets, the Evening Standard, the London Paper and London Lite.

  As I said, it's to avoid making conversation with the person next to them! (Also to past the time, and inevitable delays)

I stopped working in London a couple of years ago, and I don't miss the tube in the bloody slightest!

    It's the way everyone shoves everyone around, and then after a while you start to think this is normal and acceptable and realise you're doing it yourself. And the way someone will always be staring at you for whatever reason. And the fact that most of the older tube stations and carriages bloody stink. Ah, look what you've done, you've got me going now!!!
    
    I do like certain bits of London - Camden, Greenwich, down the river past London Bridge, etc etc - but I don't miss working there.
