I've become so dependent on my car getting me to and from work, and now it's broken. ![]()
Driving home today, and as I'm leaving Enfield Town, I hear a scraping noise and my car is less responsive (ie, I need more power on the gas to move). As soon as I realise what the problem is, and thinking it might be a puncture, I turn off into a side road and investigate.
The exhaust had dropped off, and was dragging along the ground! Yep, crap is an appropriate word!
I'm amazed at how calm I stayed (Thank you, God) as I phoned the RAC and told them the problem.
The breakdown guy came along, tied the exhaust back up and followed me home.
So my lazy ass will have to get the bus tomorrow, and take my motor to Kwik fit on Saturday!
Funny how we take our cars for granted, isn't it?!
