I'm not sure you're making a good move Ros. blog.co.uk is dead but Wordpress is notoriously difficult to get yourself seen at unless you put a lot of effort into promoting your blog. See how it works out (I'll look in at odd times) and if you find everything is slow think about Tumblr. That seems to be the one everyone is talking about these days although I'm not on there yet myself.
